Product Overview
Red Root Floater (Phyllanthus fluitans)
Red Root Floater is a very cute floating plant for use in ponds and aquariums. In most conditions, its roots are a vivid red, which of course are best appreciated in aquariums and quite striking. The leaves are rounded and green to blue-green in color, with a red blush in full sun.
Red Root Floater grows rapidly in warm weather, and resembles a tiny vining plant growing horizontally on the water surface. If crowded it will mound up and grow up into the air, which is also attractive.
Red Root Floater is very tropical, and usually treated as an annual unless living in an aquarium.
