Shipping & Returns

Plant Guarantee

All plant orders will be held and sent out according to the USDA Last Frost Guidelines based on where you live. If you would like your plants sooner we can ship them, but we cannot guarantee plants that are shipped ahead of the Last Frost USDA guidelines. If you want plants to be shipped earlier at your risk, please mark orders in the customer comments as "Ship Now Per Customer."

All of our marginal plants are shipped bare-root or in 2" net pots and are semi-mature plants that will thrive when planted correctly after given a larger plant container to grow in.

Some of these plants grow tall, and may need to be cut back before shipping, particularly for bare-root plants. This is important to do not only because of shipping costs, but because plants can experience a loss of root structure, shipping shock, and transplanting shock. If planted with all their foliage but some of their roots removed or disturbed, the plant will not be able to supply the leaves with enough water even though it is in water, resulting in foliar damage and even possibly killing the plant while it is trying to keep all the foliage alive. Waterlilies and lily-likes will generally have older leaves removed, leaving the newest 3 or 4 leaves, unless it is so early in the season that the rhizomes are not producing floating leaves yet. Lotus are shipped as tubers or runners and will probably not have leaves of note. In late winter and early Spring, Lotus will generally be shipped as dormant tubers. These break dormancy for us in mid-Spring and become thinner runners with leaves and new growing points starting to form, so after mid-Spring Lotus will generally be shipped as runners.

We seldom have problems with our plants, but occasionally orders can get damaged in transit or shipment delay due to circumstances that are out of our control. At LilyBlooms Aquatic Gardens we believe in our products and want you to be 100% satisfied! We value your business and we will do everything we can to make your experience at Lilyblooms.com as enjoyable as possible!

Shipping & Freight

We do our best to try to ship orders within 1-5 business days of when you place your order, unless you are ordering before the Last Frost USDA guidelines, or in some cases in early Spring when our plants are not grown out yet. Tropical Waterlilies start shipping in late April and early May. If not all plants are available on your order, the order will be held until all plants are ready; if you would like your order to be split into different shipments, please indicate this on your order in the comment section (each shipment will incur a shipping charge). Orders are shipped Monday through Friday for arrival by Saturday to ensure that products arrive healthy; we try to ship plant and critter orders Monday and Tuesday, and sometimes on Wednesday with expedited shipping or when shipping short distances. We ship to all 50 States via FedEx. An additional fee may apply to orders to Alaska and Hawaii.

Payment

We currently allow checkout via PayPal or Credit Card.

Returns and Damaged Items

Because of the type of products that we sell, we do NOT accept plant returns. However, you may return New, Unused and Untested condition hard goods, but shipping is the responsibility of the customer. If you feel your product has not arrived properly, please email us within 24 hours at info@lilyblooms.com. We believe in providing excellent customer service to you. However, for any items that are currently out of stock we reserve the right to substitute something of equal or greater value in its place. If you do not want any substitutions to be made please mark in the customer comments box for "No Substitutions."

Please know your state laws regarding ordering plants. We reserve the right to make appropriate substitutions if you order plants that are restricted in your state.

Please make sure that you follow the planting instructions on our website to ensure the proper growth of your plants. If you have concern about your purchase you must contact us within 24 hours of receiving your shipment. We require your checkout receipt, tracking information, and pictures for all concerns regarding your order. We will then ask you to follow the planting instructions for what you ordered and wait at least two weeks before contacting us again. If after two weeks of receiving your plants you feel they are dead, you please contact us and provide us with pictures again of the plants. We will pay the shipping costs of any plant replacements.
