Product Overview

Aquatic Mint (Mentha aquatica)

Enjoy the fragrance of mint and lilac-pink flowers. This pond plant is a fast grower and gives good coverage in the stream bed or bog areas. Aquatic Mint is a favorite with water gardeners as it is highly fragrant, blooms freely and attracts butterflies. It can also be used as an herb or for tea!

Hardiness Zone: 5-11
Planting Container: We recommend a 2 gallon solid planting container or a medium planting bag. Also does really well in a 10" floating planting container.
Light Requirements: full sun to part shade
Height: 3"-12" - Spread: Running Habit
Water Depth: Moist soil or water up to 2" deep (Maximum water depth is for mature bog plants)

For planting instructions see our: Planting Instructions for Bog Plants Page.

The plants came in great. There weren't even any branches broken. The mint is already taking off with visible growth.

Plants arrived very quickly in excellent shape. They have been in my pond for a couple of weeks and despite rather cold days/nights are growing nicely.
