Splitter Splatter - Multi-color Louisiana Iris, shallow water pond plant
Wow! Splitter Splatter is a totally unique Louisiana iris, with a multi-color bloom. The petals are creamy white and light yellow, veined and randomly splashed with magenta. Each bloom is different! The foliage is green and sword-shaped.
This iris is truly aquatic, and can be planted in the pond or in a regular garden when kept on the moist side.
Hardiness Zone: 5-11
Planting Container: We recommend a 10" x 6" fabric pot to grow a regular sized plant, or a 12.5" x 7" or 15" x 6" fabric pot to grow a specimen sized plant. Click on any fabric pot link to read about why fabric pots work better than hard plastic pots!
Light Requirements: full sun to part shade
Height: 30" to 36" - Spread: 12-18"
Water Depth: Moist Soil or water 4" to 6" above the soil (Maximum water depth is for mature plants)
