Product Overview

Iris pseudata 'Roryu' (An Old Dragon) aquatic iris for ponds

Wine colored bud opens to a brassy yellow with red eyelash pattern and veining. Blooms lighten in color as they age, creating an attractive contrast in colors. Nice succession of blooms in late Spring and early Summer. The seed are sterile, so it does not have the potential for invasiveness the yellow flag iris has. Foliage is chartreuse in Spring, eventually transitioning to green.

Iris pseudata Roryu is an aquatic iris, and may be grown in shallow water along pond edges and streambeds, and may also be grown in regular moist soil in the garden.
