We can ship trapdoor pond snails right along with your plant order. The Black Japanese Trapdoor Snail (Viviparis maleatus) is a great pond cleaner and it is a live-bearing snail. After a couple of seasons you will have plenty of trapdoor pond snails. However, unlike egg-laying snails the trapdoor snails will not completely take over your pond. The trapdoor snails are hardy little snails and usually winter over without problem.
